It’s Opus, it rocks and now it’s an audio codec standard! ✩ Mozilla Hacks – the Web developer blog

Good news from the audio codec side. Opus, which can be seen as the next generation Speex I guess, is now an IETF standard.

It’s probably a good idea to put it in pjmedia, as we do now with Speex, so we’ll put it in our (long) TODO list… No promises when though!

    Hopefully soon – it’s the codec to end all codecs we’re talking about after all 🙂

    I am use pjsip in android, i built the pjsip sourcecode in linux, but when i run the demo, can you give me a demo for calling in android

    i just only need a very simple demo for audio call, and the CSsimple is very complicated, can you give me the demo?
    Because i have a very important project to finish
